About Me

Hey everyone 👋,

I'm Arsalan, and I made my grand entrance into the world on the very last day of 2003 (yep, December 31st!) in Iran. I lived with my family near Kashan until I was ten, then decided to embark on my solo adventure to Kashan, where I’ve been living my best life ever since in this ancient city.

Ever since I was a kid, I've been obsessed with Iranian history and the English language. But it wasn’t until I hit 15 that I got really serious about these passions. And guess what? I taught myself English—maybe not perfectly, but good enough! (Thanks to the internet and many late-night study sessions.)

Kashan is not just any old city; it's my passion and inspiration. It's one of the oldest cities in Iran, loaded with history, and I'm practically the town’s walking encyclopedia. If it’s ancient and has a story, you bet I know about it.😅

I also get a huge kick out of meeting tourists from all over the world. Why? Because I’m a curious soul who loves learning new things about different cultures and civilizations. Think of me as your friendly local guide who’s also a sponge for cool new info.

So, if your travels ever bring you to Iran, make Kashan your first stop! I’d love to show you the city's beauty and its many wonders, making sure you have an unforgettable trip. And don't worry about where to stay; you’ve got a spot at my place. It’s more than just a bed—it's a chance to experience Kashan hospitality firsthand.

Catch you soon in Kashan!🙂

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already faced a question. I've not found my answer yet. A few years ago, I asked myself that if there is a God, why did he/she create me and what's the reason for my existence?
Why am I on earth and in this short time that I will be on earth, with what purpose should I live?
This question was always in front of my eyes and still is. So I think that by traveling around the world and fighting its challenges, I can find the answer to my question.
I believe CS is like a mediator and will help me meet many people. This tool provides opportunities that no other site or travel agency or government can provide. Thank you CS.

Interests

I like to talk to people who have the same goals as me. I tend to always travel to learn about different cultures and lifestyles in the world. I like to spend some of my time on my hobbies like playing the guitar, reading, talking with others, playing backgammon, hiking, going on adventures in the woods, camping, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my hometown, Iran, there is an amazing seventy million year old salt cave. I cannot describe the beauty and grandeur of this cave, but I can say say my memory of that. That cave is one of the largest salt caves in the world and is 14 kilometers long, but after discovering this cave, the Iranian government has blocked the path of the cave after 1200 meters so that no one can pass and go further. I had been to that cave several times with my CS friends and I had never crossed that fence. But once I went to that cave and walked the legal area. Then I reached the end of the legal range. But this time I decided to overcome my fears and go through that fence, so I did the same thing. And this was one of the most amazing and adventurous things I've done in my life. I went miles away from that fence and passed dangerous paths, but then I reached a dangerous valley and decided to return. At that time, I felt like I entered the time machine and returned to seventy million years ago.
I felt like I was the first and only human in the world 😅
There are some pictures of that amazing cave in my CS profile.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an inexperienced young man, but I have faced many challenges in my life and I will face many challenges. During these few years, I've been able to meet many experienced people and learn many things from their experiences. I also have a lot of information about my hometown, which is more than 6000 years old. Therefore, I can talk for hours with my hosts about historical and political information and my experiences and various topics. Also, if my hosts have a guitar, I can play the guitar for them and play backgammon with them. I'm a flexible person and I respect the wishes of my hosts.
