Overview
About Me
Active, sporty, professional and easy going guy. Lived in berlin for a bit and now new in London. Originally from Johannesburg in Sunny South Africa, where Summer never ends.
I have a unique love for Europe and traveled to most of the countries (list below :-) ) and still have a few more to complete. Last year I booked a trip to New York but changed it at the very last minute to go to Greece (Athens, Santorini and Mykonos)
I enjoy meeting new people, this is very exciting for me, I love one on one conversations about anything and everything.
I enjoy hiking, weight training and swimming. I love the outdoors and animals, as well as helping others where I can. I am a professionally certified Chef (by only the cooking shows that I watch haha) but I really can cook up a storm and you may give me a 5/5 for presentation, texture and taste.
Travel has become addictive and I find diversity and difference in cultures, people, food, architecture and countries as a whole, interesting.
I want to quit my day job and be a trust fund baby but for now I work hard, study hard and of course travel hard!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly, I want to get to know more people in different countries and make life long friends a long the way. I also want to host you so I can show you how beautiful South Africa is, with the natural mountains and beaches, lovely summer weather and developed malls, cities etc.
I also want to immerse myself in your daily life as a local. I really dont know what it is like to wake up to snow everyday as we have winter sun. I dont know what its like not to have a car because its our main mode of transport and I dont know what its like to Ski.
Interests
Dancing, I have my silver level in latin american dance (some time ago). I love to salsa and I did a bit of hip hop sometime back. So teach me your special moves and i will teach you mine ... please! I like reading psychology based books like, Mans search for meaning Viktor Frankl. The most impressive thing was that his basic needs activated his survival mode! I like horse riding, paragliding, volleyball, nature hikes, cooking different types of food, watching SciFi movies. Most of all, I like trying new things .. so I am interested in your interests too! I love dogs, lets just say I am dog person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paragliding in Cape Town, South Africa
You drive up to the mountains in South Africa and you tandem jump over the city of Cape Town. You feel the fresh seabreeze and moutain breeze infiltrate your lungs with awe. When you look to the left you see table mountain (top 10 natural wonders of the world) and to the right you have a deep blue colour beach with white sands, trendy restaurants and bars and further up you will see some skyscrappers and the beauty of the city.
Before you land you twirl around with a rollercoaster/butterfly feeling in your stomach and you eventually touchdown.
You either can try this or shark cage diving with the great whites and whale watching in whale season!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you English and a few greetings in German. I can teach you about the lifestyle in South Africa.
