ABOUT ME

We are busy, busy, busy. When we are not working, we are serving. Art is a bass player, computer programmer, chess player, the grounded one of our duo. Darcy is the artistic, extroverted free spirit... Though quiet when first meeting someone. We have been married for 20 years & still like each other very much, we work together, we are complete opposites in almost every way but share the same world view.

We love to explore but are not very interested in most tourist attractions. We are adventurous eaters, willing to experience different culinary styles.

PHILOSOPHY

Golden Rule! Do to others how you would have them do to you... Love God, Love People, Live it out! Leave things, places and people better for you having passed by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We will be opening our home when possible. Because we are quite busy, we may only be able to offer a cozy room and our visitors will have to fend for themselves. That is just how it is at this time in our life. We have couch surfed ourselves, once, and it was a good experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had the privilege of many house guests throughout our life. For the last 20, on Thanksgiving, we have opened up our home to those we know and those we don't know. This has always been a wonderful 'couch surfing ' experience. Each bring something connected to their culture or tradition. Generally 30 people who begin by barely knowing each other and leave as family. Our most recent international guests were 8 guys from China. We have continued to grow those relationships to this day.
