Overview
About Me
Hi everybody! I am a 22 years old economics student living in Turin, northern Italy. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Economics ("Economia e commercio") and I am going to start a Master of cultural economics. I will spend the spring semester 2020 in Paris, studying at Sorbonne University for the Erasmus+ programme.
I love travelling and meeting new people, learning about different cultures.
I am a sporty and healthy person, I love to exercise and to eat healthy and simple foods. I am not vegetarian but I eat little meat.
I live in a big city, but I love being in the middle of nature, and I often spend weekends and free time in the countryside with my grandmother.
I love animals, especially cats, even if I don't have pets (I live in an apartment and I think that they would suffer being in the house all day).
I am very passionate about art, my all time favourite painter is Edward Hopper. I am also very interested in photography, and I'm trying to improve my technique.
I speak italian as a native language, a good English (but I need to improve my speaking skills) and a decent French (trying to improve it). I would love to learn Spanish someday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and learning about different cultures. Practicing my English/French (or learning some words in a new language) wouldn't be bad, too.

Music, Movies, and Books
If I had to pick only one book it would be 1984 by George Orwell, no doubt.
Other authors I really like are Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, Oscar Wilde, Queneau, Harper Lee, Edgar Lee Masters (the only poet that did truly make me like poetry).
A few of the movies I enjoyed the most:
The Terminal (I would re-watch it for a million times and never get bored)
Mr. Nobody (this one is pure genius)
The big short (very recommended, even though it gets a bit too "technical" on economics sometimes)
Lost in translation (made me want to visit Japan)
Hacksaw Ridge (I'm not into history movies, at all, but I loved this one)
Inglorious Basterds (same as the previous)
One Day (so sad! It almost made me cry)
and...almost every movie by Burton, Spielberg, Fincher, Woody Allen, and many more :)
I'm also a big TV series lover. The ones that I loved the most are: Orange is The New Black, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Sherlock (you can't not love Benedict Cumberbatch), Sex and the City (rewatched it a couple times), Twin Peaks (David Lynch is genius), American Horror Story (the best seasons are Asylum, Coven and Hotel, in my humble opinion)
