About Me

tl; dw. check my facebook alright?

Okay here's a short introduction:
I'm a classic ENFP according to MBTI ;)
that means I think being with people is fun, including those who considered themselves indifferent or reserved, I can find a way to befriend and make them feel comfortable. Everyone needs friends, right?

Some part of me is still the 2 year old who looks at all things with excitement, wonder and general euphoria. I long for ideas or scenery or people customs that are beyond my imagination.
Part of me is a passionate traveler who considers every people, every land, and every culture deserves equal share of my love and dedication.

Yes, I'm ready to have my breath taken away in the Norwegian fjords, or to survive a night in Suomen forest with wolf packs nearby, or to sail up the Bosphorus with an Armenian crew, or to work and travel along with a Berbers tribe in Morocco, or to help on a medical ship in Panama, Micronesia, or the Amazon, or to get lost in the Quartier Latin, or to stand in awe at the sunrise of Haleakalā, or to work along side a team of independent journalists in Djibouti, or to walk around with you in any city or in the wild, sharing what I know and listening to your stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

this idea is awesome!!!

Several months ago my mother told me that since I started working I should save up for an apartment in HK as an investment. yeah that is a no-brainer in Hong Kong: the rent here is ridiculously high, the value of your property will only go up unless there is a war here. But then i thought, for the cost of a decent apartment (say... USD 1M for a 700 square feet apartment in New Town Plaza, shatin) you can get an apartment of same size in Budapest, Goa, Marrakesh, Cyprus, and Lima all at once (yeah i did a little research, but feel free to correct me). I could set up an anthropology institution and allow chosen students to stay in those apartments and study until they finish their thesis in these places.

Then i was told about this couchsurfing thingy in december 2014... scratch that institution plan, joining CS is much easier no matter how you see it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

many amazing things yet to be done im sure. prepare yourself, world!

I've never studied geography or tourism in school, not even a single formal lesson. But I met a professor of geography 2 years ago and she was impressed by my knowledge of my city and urban developments around the world, she hired me to be her assistant in a geography course for associate degrees in a university. Everything I taught came from books/documentaries, exhibitions of museums, personal observation and stories from couchsurfers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English, Chinese, history and geography in education centers. i've also spent lots of time on physics. once i found an interest on random stuff i’d study it til im satisfied, and personally it’s hard to find anything boring... except accounting.

I'm currently focused on learning french. it's hard, but let's hope i can speak it as well as in english in 2 years!

What I Can Share with Hosts

what i can offer to visitors: short tours emphasizes on local food or history or natural wildlife. If i’m free and if you dont mind coming to ma on shan you can come up and have dinner with my family.

what i can offer to hosts: idk... i can do chores and cook. Depends on their needs i can help building a house(which i actually did in 2010. Though i’m not expert in construction, i dont mind getting dirty thats all) or baby sitting too. I can sing too, quite well actually in the choir in my university
