Me encanta conocer los costumbres y las tradiciones de cada región mucho más que a los monumentos famosos.

He vivido muchas experiencias inolvidables con amigos que encontré en esta plataforma y, aún que tenga los recursos para hacer este viaje sin usarla, quiero seguir conociendo profundamente las personas y teniendo buenas conversaciones y risas. Creo que no hay forma mejor de comprender los lugares y las culturas que escuchando aquéllos que construyen su estória todos los días.

Yes, I am Brazilian. No, not Japanese. Haha. Chinese? No... Brazilian.
I know it's hard to believe but my family arrived in Brazil 4 generations ago. I'm 7/8 Japanese and 1/8 portuguese. At the begging the Japanese immigrants and descendents had a hard time to adapt to the culture so they've isolated themselves in Japanese groups. That's why I have this face ^^. (Everyone asks)
Although my genetics are structured by Japanese roots, i consider myself 200% Brazilian. I was born and raised as a brazilian and I've dedicated my entire life so far to the study of the Brazilian music. Moreover, I unfortunately speak only a few words in japanese (most of them can be found in a japanese restaurant's menu, haha).
I always think about the differences between a tourist and a traveler... While the tourist wants to take as many pictures of famous places as possible, the traveler wants to connect with the people and to deeply learn about the culture.
I think about myself as a traveler because during all my trips i've always tried to connect with citizens and to really learn the beauty behind every culture. It's a much richer experience and it adds much more to life.
My most meaningful travel experiences were not created by huge monuments or outstanding landscapes but by pleasant conversations that generated lifelong friendships. :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

During the past years my music allowed me to get to know amazing countries like the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Colombia, US...
It has been a incredible journey, not only as a musician but also because traveling allows me to create a connection with people from different parts of the globe. Understanding different ways of approaching the reality around us is my passion and I would risk to say that it is the essence behind every great artwork.

I feel that every time I'm back from a tour my music gets more mature and I grow as an artist and as a human being :)

And I believe that the best way to understand any country is by getting to know it's people. :) So I'm completely open to new experiences and new friendships!
