About Me

I was born in the biggest city of South America - São Paulo. This place allowed me to meet with various cultures, people and minds and I think it made me a very open minded human being as I am now. Despite of being born in a very urbanized place (or maybe because of it) I enjoy nature and beaches a lot.
Among my other characteristics worth mentioning is definitely my sensitive side of personality - I am a very empathetic person and love to listen to what people have to tell me. I prefer things in order and clean but I try to not let be a problem for me.
When it comes to a nice good conversation I always enjoy talking about culture, feminism and gender (LGBT+ issues included), Brazil, traveling experiences, movies or music that moved me and much more.

To stay sincere, I have to confess that my texts over here went through a careful correction because I don't feel confident enough in English to make the texts by myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I have an experience with couch surfing offline I am quite new to the online Couchsurfing world and although it looks very difficult to get my first experience here I still stand by the original idea and will keep on trying.
My first couch surfing experience was in Brazil, São Luis. I stayed at a house of my friend's friend who I had never met before, Renata, for one week. We had breakfasts together, spent a lot of time on a beach, I got to meet a lot of her friends and she gave me a lot of tips about my further trips. It was a true couch suring experience which led to our friendship.
My second couch surfing experience was in Münster, Germany. I went there for a jazz concert with my friend and this nice guy called Uwe offered his couch for us at the event page. We got to enjoy the whole concert and dance together before staying at his place.
My third experience was in Madrid, Spain. I hosted my friends friend called Natie from New York who I had never met before for two nights. She stayed at my place and we spent some quality time together eating, talking and we even managed to go to a museum together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything that moves my heart or body. Among my favourite movies are: O Homem do Futuro, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Arrival, Wild, Kill Bill, Please Like Me, Danish Girl. I am also a big cartoons fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once took a trip to Maranhão by myself. As a part of this trip I hiked through The National Park Lençóis Maranhenses which is vast dune with lakes in the north-east of the state. I spent there three days walking and two nights sleeping in local communities.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share stories of my travels, teach a lot about Brazil and it's diverse culture and practice Portuguese if interested. I've also been told that I can make a good pizza dough and a yucca soup. In general, I love to cook and am always up to trying new local tastes.
Also, I took classes of lindy hop in the past. I can definitely show and share, unsure about my abilities to teach it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Once I am back to São Paulo I will be able to offer a couch at my place, show you my city, my family and my friends.
