About Me

I love discovering new cities and finding out cool small shops, bars and live venues.

I'm always down for a beer and going to a concert (preferably something intense like rock/punk/metal or a cool techno set or even better some weird-ass experimental improv).

I'm easygoing and open-minded so don't worry about getting into heavy arguments with me. Unless you want to badmouth Hawaiian pizza, that is.

What I love about Couchsurfing is meeting new people who take you out to do fun stuff, but I can definitely go do that on my own if you have other plans obviously.

Ask me about my junk food blog and my '90s culture fanzine!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet cool people in cool places and travel on a budget.

I don't really care about the usual big tourist attractions, I'm more interested in experiencing the particular day-to-day life of the country or city, and couchsurfing is the best way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

1990s fanatic (music, movies, video games).

Rock, metal, hip hop and electronic music lover. (mostly 80s and 90s stuff). More specifically: post-punk, alternative rock, industrial, black metal, synthpop, dark hip hop, '90s techno & house.

Do you have a moment to talk about ou lords and savior, Japanese techno/pop/rap/house band Denki Groove?

Fav movies: Old Boy, Love Exposure,Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost Dog, There Will Be Blood, most stuff by Takeshi Kitano/Martin Scorsese/F.F. Coppola/David Lynch/Stanley Kubrick.

Fav books: Voyage au Bout de la Nuit, Fight Club, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Trainspotting, All Quiet on the Western Front, Lolita

Fav TV shows: Six Feet Under, Oz, The Sopranos, The Wire, Scrubs, The Shield, Twin Peaks, Malcolm in the Middle, The Simpsons, South Park, American Dad, Breaking Bad

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived Kaunas, Lithuania.

Other cities I've visited: New York, London, Milan, Rome, Brussels, Paris...

Other trips I've made: 1-week trip around central Europe (Germany, Vienna, Bratislava, Ljublana, Budapest, Prague...), 2-week trip in the Baltic states (very cool), 1-week trip to Prague and around Czech Republic.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in cool cultural local initiatives, DIY stuff, alternative culture, zines, that sort of stuff.

I'm always curious about tasting new beers and food (I just hate seafood), especially if it's a bit weird.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook weird heart-attack-inducing junk food meals like sloppy joes, nachos pizza, tuna & peaches pizza, grilled cheese burgers, ice cream nachos...

I can take you on in a 90s & pop culture trivia challenge to the death.

I can recommend you weird and cool music and movies. I will probably make you sign a contract obligating you to watch Love Exposure, a 4 hour long Japanese romantic comedy/psychological drama about upskirt pictures, martial arts and scientology from 2008.
