I'm originally from Ireland and moved to Poland seven years ago. I'm a Physics teacher at an International School in Warsaw Poland while Joanna (my wife who is Polish) is completing a PhD in water management at the University of Life Sciences. In recent years we have explored the Balkans, Georgia, Cape Verde, South-East USA. In 2018 we purchased a campervan which we use for travelling around Poland but we're planning a road trip across Europe in summer 2019.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife and I are planning a big trip to Texas and Louisiana this spring. However, I'm keen to ensure we have good opportunities to meet locals and get a really good feel for the locations that we stay in beyond the tourist stuff. We usually try to do/see a variety of things except from the safety of hotel accommodation but that's not nearly as much fun meeting new and interesting people.
