About Me
Hi there !
I'm Arthur, freshly 27, and only starting now to consider travelling as a life experience...
I am open minded, always smiling, I love to play and explore, I am in constant search of personal growth and I'm still scared of slightly too many things I think.
I've been doing maths since high school as I was not too bad at it, but what really excites me is understanding human abilities, try to grow mine, and teach others to grow theirs. I will probably end up being trainer, coach or best launching a start-up in the following years. But before that I try to expand my comfort zone, and traveling is part of this mission !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am looking for expanding my comfort zone by travelling on my own, alone. Shall you share this ideology or be interested in it, it would be a great pleasure to meet you!
Interests
Actually I have a lot of interests (but fortunately it does not seem like a handicap anymore http://www.ted.com/talks/emilie_wapnick_why_some_of_us_don_t_have_one_true_calling ).
I love sport (not in team): I practiced climbing, roller-skating, parkour, penchak silat. (I'm currently having a post-surgery year break).
I also love to be creative: I designed tons of (good and bad) games, did various forms of street-art and still do (modest) graffiti at times, and love playing (retro)video-games.
Finally I'm passionated by personal development and better understanding others and myself: I started with NLP and from this read through dozens of self-help books, tested (auto)-hypnosis, explored lucid dreaming, and I am currently focusing on identifying and crushing my comfort zone (I lead the local community in Paris of Comfort Zone Crushers (http://www.comfortzonecrusher.com/blog/)).

Music, Movies, and Books
The music I listen to party is goa/psytrance.
I love binaural beats/ tibetan bowls/zen music to work.
Apart from that I do not listen to music that much... Well I admit, I'm at least a big fan of video-games music!
I don't watch that much movies, and usually don't remember the ones that please me. I love movies with ultra-smart robbers with ultra-cool plans, and good thrillers.
For books it will be difficult to tell. Maybe (in different domains) The Emotionnal Intelligence, Men Come from Mars Wemen Come from Venus, How to Make Friends, The Celestine Prophety. Yeah, mostly non-fictions... and I read Harry Potter too.
Oh and I looove TED talks, great source of inspiration, and I start reading some blogs - I'm open to suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finally being able to ask "How was the day" to the cashier when shopping :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I may say that I'm quite a good teacher. I love to conceptualise things and make them easy to understand. So I can teach virtually anything I know and love.
My current area of learning is how to become more courageous. Ok I also learn about robust control theory in my job but you know...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Shall you accept me in your home, the first thing that comes to my mind is this: may I know something that interests you, I would share my knowledge with passion! You can pick any item from my description :)
Otherwise, I love when my home is clean and calm so I can obviously help you with all the home-keeping stuff.
Finally, I am a terrible cook. So ask me if you dare! At least, once you know it is not a four stars meal, I am more comfortable trying my luck.
