Hi! My name is Arthur and I'm 22 years old. I'm studying Arabic and German at university and have just spent a year studying in Amman, Jordan which I really enjoyed.

I really love learning about new cultures and I'm very interested in history. In my spare time I like reading, running, listening to music, hiking, caving and spending time outdoors. I also really enjoy photography while I'm out and about.

Sometimes when I travel I feel like I haven't really got to know any locals, so I'm going to try Couchsurfing so that I can meet lots of new people with local knowledge. It would be great to make friends and travel companions this way. I've heard it's the best way to get around Iraq :)

音乐、电影和书籍

I like a pretty wide range of music, but mostly rock, hip-hop and jazz. Some favourites are black midi, Talking Heads, Charles Mingus, Pixies, The Beatles, Gorillaz. I'm always open to new recommendations!

Choosing favourite books is always a hard question but some recent favourites are Catch 22, The Master and Margarita, Season of Migration to the North, Notes from Underground, Labyrinths.

I haven't seen many films lately even though I work in a cinema for my summer job!

I'm really keen to practice my Arabic although I'm not that familiar with the Iraqi accent. I'm also really happy to help people practice their English or German (I'm a bit rusty though).
