About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to get to South America

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Toronto my whole life save a few years in Waterloo for undergrad and 2 years in London, UK for work and travel.
I love to travel and got to do a lot of it while in the UK. Through my travels I've also really gotten into food. The more exotic the better. I love trying new foods and i think eating is a great time when people come together. I have found my best trips are the ones that I get to know some of the local people. Thats when i learn the most and I think its great for perspective and challenging my world view.
I stay active in the summers with tennis, though i currently have tennis elbow. Never knew what that was till i got it, its no picnic! In the winters i ski and try and do at least one ski holiday a year. Ive also been doing kickboxing for the past few months which has been very energizing.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that the world would be a much better place if everyone had a little more empathy, not sympathy, but empathy. i think if everyone was motivated to understand those around us and those that appear different from us, there would be a lot less fear in this world. And a lot less fear would bring a lot less war and general stress. There, world peace, sorted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed in Istanbul and met couchsurfers in Vegas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a wonderful time staying with Yasemin and Uluc in Istanbul. They were so warm and hospitable and I learned a lot about Turkish history and culture from them. They made my trip to Turkey a much richer experience.

I've hosted a few people over the past six months. Its been tons-o-fun. I've really gotten a better appreciation for Toronto after showing people around and hearing impressions of my city from newcomers.
