ABOUT ME
I'm pretty laid back. I hope to have pretty relaxing travels. I look forward to a siesta in Spain.
My hometown is Lincoln, a small town where Dad was a vet so i have animals and the country in my blood. Lincoln isn't so small now, it just got a Subway.
I love learning about new things, pretty much anything. One day I'll hopefully remember enough to finish a crossword by myself.
I'm also a big fan of sport. I played tennis and soccer a bit seriously but now play mostly social sport. I even tried rowing for a while until they wanted to train at 6am in winter. Outdoors and sport is probably my biggest passion. Skiing, tramping, surfing, kayaking, rock climbing. I'm not necessarily any good but i love it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far i haven't officially participated, but wherever i have lived we have had travelers stay. I spent the last three years flatting at uni and as well as sleeping on plenty of couches, we often had someone staying at the flat.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lord of the Rings movies because of the NZ connections and stories you hear, like some ladies who ended up being the men of Rohan because they were the best horse riders.
I like most music, some good kiwi bands are The Checks, Six60, Katchafire, Shapeshifter.
Love books, especially funny/thought provoking ones. Terry Pratchett is definitely worth a go
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first thing that comes to mind is sailing down the NZ coast. I was on a night shift at the helm by myself which is a cool feeling in itself, the massive, black empty ocean all around and singing along to some Billy Joel on the tinny speakers. Anyway the important bit is that some dolphins came to say hello and because of the bio luminescence in the water you could see streaks of light shooting along underwater. It felt pretty special.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a bit of juggling if you're keen
