ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Arthur, currently 23 years of age. I just finished my bachelor studies in Astronomy and before starting my master studies I wanted to explore the world and do some more traveling.
After finishing high school I've working as a construction worker renovating timbered houses, before traveling for about four/five months around New Zealand.
When asked about my favourite leisure activities I'll definitely answer mountainbiking. I love to ride my bike on mountain and forest trails, being outdoor and pushing your boundaries ever again. I'm painfully aware that the Netherlands are not quite the best place for mountainbiking... So once or twice a year I'll go to ride some real mountain trails somewhere in Europe with my brother.
Once in a while I will pick up my guitar to play a little tune, although I'm not as seriously into it as I used to be when I was at high school. But I'm enjoying music all the more.
Although there's no need to travel the world in order to discover new things, I'm getting more aware everyday that there are many things to discover around the corner, traveling is a great way for me to discover new things, meeting different people from around the world and learn about their culture and habits and at through doing so reflecting on yourself.

At the moment I am again working as a construction worker, renovating old timbered houses in the traditional style of Zuid Limburg and the Voerstreek (the area in the Netherlands/Belgium between Maastricht, Liège and Aachen) in order to save some money for my upcoming travels to South east Asia and China.
