About Me

After working in sustainable in various ways (scientific research, investigation journalism, sustainability consulting), I just quited my job to take some time off.

I've spent one year and a half in south america (living in Chile and Bolivia, and traveling arround) , for my studies and an internship, one year and a half in the states where i was born, and the rest of my life in France. I'm open minded, easy going, and enjoy all kinds of things.

I'm always looking for new experiences and meeting new people. I'm a smiling happy fellow, social and respectful. I enjoy having endless conversations, where we rethink the world with the help of a few drinks :)

Cheers

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically travelling is my favorite thing is the world. Whenever i'll have the time and money i'll pack my stuff and go some place appealing. By travelling, i don't mean going to touristic spots and take pictures to brag on Facebook and fill a checking list, but getting to know the people, the culture, the food, the language... Las ondas! Couch surfing puts you directly in the middle of it all, and allow you to meet some cool people, who will show you what they like in their homeplace, and what is their point of view as a local. that's the stuff i'm looking for.

Interests

Ecology, sustainable development and all it involves
Football
foreign culture, South America.
Social and political issues (no too much though)
Nature : hike, camp, flora and fauna
Going out, have a drink, meet people. Go for a party eventhough I'm an awful dancer

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of french literature : Alexandre Dumas, Daniel Penac, Romain Gary are my favorites. And poetry (Rimbaud, Beaudelaire, Victor Hugo). In english, Beatniks (Kerouac mostly), Steinbeck. In Spanish : Cervantes, Garcia Marquez. German : Herman Hesse, Nietzsche.
I really can enjoy all types of music. I'm particularly into old rock (Bowie, rolling stones, the who, led zeppelin, the specials, the clash), Cumbia (chilena, peruana, columbiana, Argentina), french music (Brassens, Barbara, Brel, Gainsbourg).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've let a gigantic tarantula walk on my head in the Bolivian Amazon.
