ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm a biologist here in Chicago and love to open my home up to new people and new experiences. I've been working in green technology for a little bit now, though I also spent 2 years in a European History PhD program, so I, at least, think I'm well rounded. I appreciate human inquisition whatever the object. I used to believe humanity was perfectable; I don't so much anymore, but do believe that the best work is to be good to each other on a day to day level. One of my favs Dostoyevsky said it well, "Love for humanity in general is only love for oneself." Love for specific humans is the only meaningful thing.

PHILOSOPHY

I shall remember this hour of peace ... the strawberries, the bowl of milk, your faces in the dusk, Michael asleep, Joseph with his lute. I shall remember our words ... and shall bear this memory between my hands as carefully as a bowl of fresh milk. And this will be a sign and a great content

I've actually only hosted in the past, but it was always a rewarding experience. I'm personally here to 1) meet new and interesting people, and 2) to do my part to promote radical trust and goodwill against the almighty dollar.
