ABOUT ME

I think easy going but slightly pretentious is probably the dichotomy that best describes me. I'm equally comfortable downing Guinness in a dingy rock/metal pub as I am sat at home with bucket loads of tea and a good book.

Music is my obsession. Whether listening , playing or talking about it there's always something musical going on in my life.

I'm also a big film lover, particularly European cinema and try to make sure I discover new films on a fairly regular basis.

My job is pretty dull so I like to ease the boredom with regular visits to the the pub with friends. I'm with beer the way some people are with wine...take from that what you will.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted fairly regularly a few years ago but haven't been all that active recently. Hosting midweek is tricky due to work commitments but potentially available at weekends.

SURF REQUESTS - I will only accept requests from people who have taken the time to read my profile. As much as I understand that plenty of people are just looking for a bed for the night whilst travelling I like to think of CS as a way of meeting new people and learning about other ways of life and hope that you will to.

Massive music lover; from Nick Drake to Machine Head and David Bowie to Paradise Lost and a whole manner of other things. Generally I'm a rock/metal fan with a bit of a gothy twist and the occasional darkwave/electro moment.Film; The Edukators, Das Weisse Rauchen, Das Experiment, Dan Paris, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Bad Education...Literature; Dante, Milton, Paul Auster, Nick Cave, Foucault, Baudriallard, Goffman etc...
