ABOUT ME
I graduated from Bard College in upstate New York and spend the ensuing 4 years in the city, appreciating the thrill of exploration that it offered. I am rejoicing now in the opportunity to travel.

PHILOSOPHY
“When I was young I felt very sorry for myself that I was born in this awful, boring country [Soviet Union]. Now I think of this rather as a bonus, because growing up in a country like that stimulated your brain. You had to distance yourself from what was surrounding you, and besides, when you live in a quiet country you might live to the end of your life without really understanding what sort of person you are.” (Boris Akunin)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and meeting new people. I actually prefer the couch to the bed, when I have a choice. I understand that there are inherent costs to hosting overnight and I am happy to stock your fridge or what not. I carry a sleeping bag so I don't use sheets. Have my own towels. Having lived in New York, I've been hosting friends for years, so I know the routine. I've never hosted through couchsurfing though.
