PHILOSOPHY

"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion. I would rather ride on earth in an ox cart, with a free circulation, than go to heaven in the fancy car of an excursion train and breathe a malaria all the way. The very simplicity and nakedness of man's life in the primitive ages imply this advantage, at least, that they left him still but a sojourner in nature. When he was refreshed with food and sleep, he contemplated his journey again. He dwelt, as it were, in a tent in this world, and was either threading the valleys, or crossing the plains, or climbing the mountain-tops. But lo! men have become the tools of their tools."
**Henry David Thoreau**

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gathering to support closure of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear plant at the state house.

Served on a jury for 6 days in Boston, MA. Frustrating, hard, and incredible life experience, especially at 18.

Watching my students grow over the week I spend with them. Your heart will never feel so big.

Old Growth Redwood Forests... I miss them so much.

Flowers, trees, people, grains of sand- there is beauty all around us.

Teach, Learn, Share

Despite my Spanish minor I am embarrassed about practicing ("OMG I just used the wrong tense!") but love the language.

I have the best brownie recipe in the the world. If you like, I'll let you in on it if you promise only to use it for good. If you need allergy accommodations I am your gal, living with many intolerances.

I'm an environmental educator and work with kids everyday so I know lots of games and teambuilding stuff.

I garden and adore helping things grow.
