About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keep Loving, Keep Fighting!
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Yellowknife and I'm a Northern boy, all the way.
PHILOSOPHY
Work to live, not live to work!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel to places and couchsurf, then I stay in one place, and my couch gets surfed. Kind of what it's all about, eh?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed Spain, Holland and Morocco; then they surfed me.
Couchsurfing is the best way to experience life and immerse yourself in new places.
When I have the time, I enjoy playing travel guide, introducing and connecting new people to other locals, and sharing all the best hang-outs.
Interests
I enjoy going out for food or coffee or having some people over for dinner and drinks.
I like going out to see live music, comedy, theatre, and random event nights. I also like checking out galleries and museums.
Also, watching movies is a serious addiction of mine. I'd love to make a world trip out of going to film festivals all over. Who wants to come?

Music, Movies, and Books
I wish I could watch a movie every night of the week. Drama, documentary, animated shorts, or action-adventure—it doesn't really matter. I love them all.
There is a constant shortage of music in my life, so please recommend whatever you're listening to.
I used to buy way too many magazines; that was an expensive and expansive addiction. I ran out of room to store them and spent all my money on magazines. I don't even read books anymore, although I read almost obsessively. I just prefer the texture of a fine-quality magazine to a book's dry, unbending paper. And I am very visual. I need photos and videos, fonts and graphic design. My new weakness in replacing magazines is the internet on my phone (same as everyone else), and I don't know which is worse
The Internet has simultaneously ruined my life and made it worth living. Make sense? Only if you are a laptop junkie too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To date, the most amazing thing I've ever done is go skydiving. I have made 30+ jumps now and hope to add to that as many as I can afford.
I most look forward to jumping at night or over the dessert. I'd love to get enough jumps to coach my friends and take them with me, but that's a long way away.
Teach, Learn, Share
I try to remember what my parents taught me;
Always leave something better than when you found it. If you borrow something, put it back where you got it, and clean it too.
Below is some advice to other travellers based on my surfing and hosting experiences.
When staying as a guest in someone's house, offer help without being asked. You might do any or all of these types of things based on where you stay and for how long: wash the dishes/take out the garbage/prepare a meal/water plants/walk the dog/sweep the floor/wash the helicopter/kill the noisy neighbour/stop-the-tar-sands/etc
In other words, try to make your host feel glad to invite you into their home. You will always be a welcome guest, and people will enjoy having you around rather than feel you are taking advantage of this "free" hospitality.
Remember, Couchsurfing is not for everyone,
but the hotels are.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Real friendship and good conversation. I'm a low-maintenance guest. I don't need anybody to hold my hand or babysit me. I will ask you all kinds of questions whenever you are free because I love learning, and I will probably invite you everywhere I go. But don't worry about offending me if you are tired or just not feeling super social. I will respect your home and share with you whatever I can.
