About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Left NYC in July of 2019 and am now exploring the United States and documenting the culture (and being quite harsh about it since this country formed me...but I'm a kind person, I promise!).
I hate the word 'blogger', but that encapsulates how I make a living now. And its work I enjoy very much.
ABOUT ME
I'm an underground writer who is successful precisely because I say things most people aren't willing to say. One of my books became a #1 bestseller on Amazon which skyrocketed my writing career and gave me the motivation to stay on this wild path (I'm also SUPER HUMBLE about it;)
I spend a lot of time doing research in cities, at local bars, talking to people honestly about cultural issues...when I get sick of city life (happens quicker as I get older), I spend a LOT of time in wilderness areas meditating, taking photographs, and collecting my thoughts.
Looking for my next place to 'settle' while on the road.
PHILOSOPHY
Individuality is necessary to live a fulfilling life. Think for yourself, and allow others to do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books
Werner Herzog and every movie by the Coen Brothers (Big Lebowski is my favorite), Kurosawa, Kubrick, David Lynch...I really liked the Lion King remake that came out this year.
Kurt Vonnegut has been a mentor. Calvin and Hobbes is a great way to spend an afternoon. Recently I have been reading a lot of Herman Hesse. Now that I'm thinking about it...seems I stick mostly to classics: Hemingway, Twain, Huxley, Camus, Garcia Marquez, Kundera. Also really enjoy Murakami and Tom Robbins...all my influences are mostly dead.
Lucky to grow up so close to the NYC music world and experience hundreds of great shows, some of the best have been: Arcade Fire, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Elliott Smith, Les Savy Fav, Talib Kwali, Caribou, Built to Spill, LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead, The National, The Flaming Lips...and many many local bands that have provided lots of opportunities to dance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Huh? Diving in the nude with sharks during a feeding frenzy was pretty intense. But so was observing an aphid sip water from a dewdrop on a flower petal. And so is partying like a rock star. Just ask...
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to make a living as a totally independent artist by utilizing the internet. I also used to teach geology so can tell you about how the Earth operates.
I'm on a mission to discover the truth about America in 2019...every bit of what locals have to share helps me learn a little more.
I can share drinks, conversation, fun, energy, outdoor adventures, and bar hopping excursions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, recommendations, entertaining conversation, and a viewpoint from someone who is fully tapped in to the pulse of America.
