About Me

I'm a Brazilian guy living in Belgium since December 2014.
In love with this country. The people, the beers, chocolates, fries and beautiful places... Just great :)

Gandhi has famous powerful sentences. Probably the most known one is "Be the change you want to see in the world", which I fully agree and apply to my life.
But one sentence that resonated even more with me - which I take as my identity - is: "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others".
I truly believe that this is one way I can be the change I want to see in this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because this is a very nice way to welcome people at my place and also be able to visit other countries while meeting a native person.
The exchange is so rich. Something very hard to happen while staying in a hotel/hostel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I learned ukulele in 4 hours! ;D

Ok, one with a bit more adventure and adrenaline:
- In December of 2006, when I was 17 and my brother 19, we I did an eurotrip of 45 days, just two of us, in which we visited 13 countries. Extremely tiring but truly worthwhile and mind-blowing.

Ok, a more heartwarming one:
- I helped two different persons in a difference of 3 minutes from one to another, to take the train at Brussels airport by showing to way to the station, giving my place in the long line for one of them to buy the ticket faster, looking at the app which platform was the train, ..., as they were in a hurry and the train was departing.
So I didn't know at that time if they could managed to take the train and we also did not switch contacts or something...
The day after, for pure coincidence, I met both in a supermarket.
Yes, fortunately, both managed to take the train. They were actually colleagues in the same training (which they also discovered only on this next day as well).
And yes, we had a drink to celebrate and laugh about this weird/nice coincidence :)
We kept in touch and now we have plans to visit one another on each country: Austria, Netherlands and Belgium. Austria is already done! :D
