About Me

Hi there!

I'm Artur and I recently moved to Los Angeles, CA. I work in web and app data analytics, and I'm also a musician, volunteer, and avid traveler :)

I'M FINALLY ABLE TO GIVE BACK TO THIS BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY

After several years of solo backpack trips staying with awesome hosts around the world, I'm finally able to host people in LA. I am "maybe" accepting guests according to my status mostly because of my busy work and travel schedule, but feel free to put in your request and we might make it work.

IF YOU'RE SHOOTING OVER A REQUEST

1. Please be mindful of the current pandemic we're living through and share your vaccination status, or when you last tested negative for Covid. Being unvaccinated may not be a red flag and I try to take a reasonable approach, but I need to know.
2. Make sure you read the "my home" section.
3. I do not accept generic requests so make a little effort and go through my profile and references and explain why you think we would be a good match.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If I'd have to pick one thing that I enjoy the most in life that would be stepping out of the comfort zone. Maybe that's why I love traveling so much. There's nothing like meeting new places, people and ways of thinking - being a good listener and having an open mind can go a long way. And maybe that's why I enjoy Couchsurfing!

MY CS EXPERIENCE

Regarding my Couchsurfing experience, since I wasn't able to host people until very recently, I've only used the platform for trips where I travel alone - usually backpacking. The first one, in 2016, brought me to Turkey, Georgia and Armenia. I was welcomed by a warm community that hosted me literally everywhere - from Yerevan to Istanbul - even though I had zero references and was just starting out. I was so fascinated by Couchsurfing and the experiences that it'd provided me that I did not think twice about where to stay while planning my second backpacking trip - this time in China, Macau and Hong Kong, summer of 2017. Once again, I've been hosted by a platoon of wonderful and diverse people, all of which with one thing in common - the passion of opening their doors to unknown people in hopes of mutually growing and learning from one another. To all of you (you know who you are), a thousand thank you's.
