I AS A PERSON:

Sometimes I travel a lot. sometimes not.

I speak English. Je parle francais. Ich spreche Deutsch. Hablo espanol (castellano). Я понимаю русский. Rozumiem po polsku. Estou aprendendo portugues.

Any new person is a new experience. Everybody has an interesting story to tell or a passionate feeling to express, I will listen.

I have lived in several places in the world, and some years ago I moved from Warsaw in Poland, to Heidelberg in Germany and after a couple of years, theny to Metz in France and now because of the pandemic aftermath I am temporarily in Warsaw.

I am an experienced traveller and backpacker.

I have made 3 around-the-world trips.

I have made about 550 flights.

I have made about 52000 km hitch-hiking.

My travel experiences involve large travels: about 110 countries, states and territories on all continents.

There was a map in a previous version of Couchsurfing allowing to show the countries that I have been. It was "ready made", so it did not include a couple of territories (where I have been) that I would treat separately. The list of countries available below does not include them either i.e. Easter Island, Ceuta, Melilla, Pridniestrie, Crimea, Kaliningradskaya Oblast, Morea, Corsica, Catalunya, Baleares, and perhaps West-Berlin, etc...

By the way, I have been in all 16 Bundeslander of Germany and all Bundeslander of Austria... Plus 19 states of the USA.

I have hosted quite a large number of people in Warsaw, some in Heidelberg, some in Metz, now I have very limited conditions, so I am rather about to meet, talk and advise.

I AS A HOST:

In general: I accept people with their own towels, sleeping bags, or similar gear.

It happens that I am very busy, so we might spend together just a short time, but surely we will talk at the cup of tea.

I receive a lot of mass-produced requests from young people, who think that CS is just the way to get free accomodation at some dreamer idealists. Therefore I have included several "passwords" on my profile in order to be sure, that somebody has read my profile.

I AS A SURFER:

Depending the destination I try to prepare myself. I tend to have my own sleeping bag.

I obey rules of the house, of course, only when they are explained.

I am always interested in local customes and condictions.

I fear nothing.

WORD ABOUT THE RATE OF RESPONSE:

I suppose that the Coachsurfing indicates the rate of response at about 80 - 85%, what is not true. It may come from the conversations, when sometimes I have written the last word, or sometimes the other person. It may come from semi-business messages offering some tourist services, that I do not answer.
As the rule, I answer all real messages. 100%., unless they are profoundly stupid, empty or offending.

I have even couchsurfed in Africa: Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and in Asia: India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu, Manila, Taipei, HongKong.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Perhaps I am not the best host, because it may happen, that I have some time to talk and visit the city, but sometimes I am so busy that there is almost no time to talk.
