About Me

Hi! I’m Arturo, from Mexico, and I’m new to Couchsurfing and this style of traveling. I've always loved the idea of exploring the world, especially on my motorcycle. I adore nature—mountains, rivers, the ocean, and yes, even the rain! Although I'm not a chef, I'm always willing to help out in the kitchen and learn something new. I work in the oil industry, but what really defines me is my passion for discovering places and making new friends. I'm not looking for romance or anything like that, just genuine experiences and good conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join Couchsurfing because life is short and we should make the most of it. My big dream is to ride the famous Route 66 on my motorcycle, and I think this community is perfect for meeting local people and learning along the way. I'm not here for free accommodation; to me, Couchsurfing is about cultural exchange and sharing experiences. I'm more than willing to contribute, whether by helping around the house, buying groceries, or sharing a beer and a good chat.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open when it comes to music, but I do have a soft spot for electronic music. My favorite movies range from "The Godfather" to "Braveheart," with stops at "Top Gun" and "Inglorious Basterds." As for books, I enjoy works like Richard Dawkins' "The Blind Watchmaker" and Sam Harris' "Free Will." I love diving into philosophical and scientific topics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a father has been the most amazing experience of my life. It’s an adventure that surpasses any other, and every day brings new learning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share many things about Mexican culture, from traditions to food. If you’re into motorcycles, I’ve got stories and travel tips that I think you'll enjoy. I’m also eager to learn whatever you can teach me, from local life in your city to your favorite recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a respectful and grateful guest. I can help with household chores, go grocery shopping, and while I’m no master chef, I can cook basic meals. The most important thing for me is to share good moments, so if you enjoy chatting over a good coffee or beer, we’re already friends!
