Hello!

My name Arturo Osorio, and I am a fourth year international business student at San Jose State University, in San Jose, California. I am currently studying abroad at City University of Hong Kong, and since I have been in Hong Kong I have had the chance to go backpacking to multiple countries including South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Mainland China. I have a few more trips coming up in the next few weeks to Vietnam, Thailand and Japan.
I am a very outgoing and nice guy, who loves to explore different places and meet people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing because I believe it is a great way to meet people and get a real taste of the local culture. After all the backpacking I have done, I am also running low on funds and constantly looking to save as much money as possible. Being a budget traveler is not easy, but I strongly believe Couchsurfing has the perfect combination of helping you save money by meet people and getting the most real cultural experience.

Favorite music is probably the west coast's Hip Hop and R&B, but I also love Latin music including Salsa and Bachata.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Study Abroad. This experience has been nothing but amazing. I never thought I was going to have the chance to travel as much as I have, and meet people from all over the world. I have become incredibly humbled from this opportunity and passionate about multiple issues after seeing the reality of a lot of the countries I visited. I have opened my eyes to the beauty of the world, and its been amazing meeting all the caring and loving people I have met on this journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will like to consider myself a very well-rounded individual with knowledge in multiple areas. Some of the things I love to teach the most, however, include English, Spanish, how to play soccer, and latin dancing. I will consider this four things my specialty.
I love learning new things - especially languages. Even though I am constantly trying to learn stuff from all kind of areas, for some reason I have always had a thing for learning multiple languages and expanding my vocabulary. I currently bilingual, but that is not enough for me. My dream is to one day speak multiple languages and be able to communicate with people in almost every part of the world. At the same time, I am always open to learn about anything. Knowledge is power.
I enjoy sharing about my personal life and story. I have a very unique background and I enjoy sharing my inspirational story. At the same time, I like sharing my interests, ideas, and goals for the future.

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of the reasons why I decided to try out Couchsurfing is because I want to experience staying and getting to know my future hosts. As mentioned above, I love sharing about my personal life, background and unique story. I do not have a problem being open with people, and I would love to get to know my hosts at a much personal level if that is what they prefer. I want to be able to consider my hosts my friends after staying with them, and get the most unique cultural experience as possible.
