About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join because of friends' good opinions about the app and a new way of lodging when I'm traveling. I realized a while ago that the best moments of traveling are not just to go somewhere different, but a mix of the place, time and the people you share the moment with. There's so much richness hidden behind everyone's life waiting to be shared and I love to open the book of someone and read a few pages if they're willing to share it :)

Because of this I'd LOVE to host but for the moment I'm not allowed to do it where I live (family) :( ..I definitely plan on opening my place to travelers once I get my own place :)

Interests

I used to play flamenco guitar, I think it's still there.. to keep me fit I enjoy running, soccer and rock climbing, it's great recreation, I love being outdoors whatever it is I'm doing.
I've worked in a tallship 3 times in the last 6 years and doing a lot of traveling this way.
I'm also an engineer and I get along well with technology in general, I'm quite handy to have around and will always be eager to help people solve their problems (if I can).
I quit smoking this year to start a healthier life and it's going good. I don't drink too often, but when I do I love cold beer, wine or whiskey.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy almost any kind of music except for very hardcore dub or metal, I play guitar and a little bit of piano. I'm not that much into TV shows because I find them very time consuming and I think I could be doing be doing better things with my time (although I've watched a few :3)
I do enjoy movies quite a lot though, especially ones I've never seen. I enjoy a lot reading a good book, like those that get you hooked.. I wish I made more time for it, I guess it's a habit

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in the Sahara dessert, went fishing for piranhas in the Peruvian amazon, crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a tallship (twice) and the Bermuda triangle, climbed a 350m high wall in the Pyrenees, and having a very long bucket list still :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I always enjoy good conversation, I can talk about many topics and I love to meet people with new and different stories and backgrounds. I have many stories to share and I'm really eager to learn new things always (even if it's a complicated subject like religion, I find people's beliefs and views of the world and life one of the most fascinating topics ever!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, friendship, trust, exchange of experiences, good laughs and some kind of surprise to share probably ;)
I'm clean, organized, adaptable and easy to get along with.
