About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm trying to say more by saying less.

ABOUT ME

I like to work hard, play harder, meet new people, learn new languages, take risks, take pictures, take note of the similarities instead of the differences between us, traverse the paths traveled and less traveled, drink too much beer, drink too much coffee, exaggerate situations, and dance myself clean.

And when I have to be a "grown-up," I teach kids how to be better people through music.

PHILOSOPHY

Seek truth, spread love

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My girlfriend and I have a spare bedroom (with a couch and a bed) AND a spare bathroom that we're happy to share. I love to cook for guests and am happy to help you navigate the DFW area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a host, my experience has mostly been with cyclists. When I lived in South Texas I hosted several individuals that passed through via bicycle on their way to San Antonio. I've been happy to provide a roof, a couch, and a shower.

I've never surfed couches via the website, but I've done it several times while in Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate good dialog, creative cinematography, smart/functional design, strong driving beats, a good harmonic progression, and foods that are as fresh as they can be.

Jamie XX, Sufjan Stevens, Vampire Weekend, Modest Mouse, Incubus, Radiohead, Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires, Foals, Nicolas Jaar, Gorillaz, The Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Caribou, Chromeo, Flying Lotus, Poolside, Boys Noize, LCD Soundsytem, Red Baraat, Hot Chip, James Blake, Centavrvs, Chet Faker, Flume

As far as food is concerned fresh is best, but I'm not snotty about it. I'm not a vegetarian, but many of my friends are and I enthusiastically embrace the compromise. I'm open to try it all, but I'll always be up for pizza, tacos, or a sandwich.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching music to kids in Haiti (in French!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

- A diverse set of musical tastes (let's talk about WHY we like what we like)
- A music lesson (I'm a patient guy, let's just try it)
- Language practice (Donde esta la biblioteca?)
- A really good bowl of guacamole (it's a lifestyle)

Countries I’ve Visited
