About Me

Greetings! "Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all!" ~Helen Keller. I'm thrilled with life, random knowledge and experiencing new things! I talk to strangers, speak my mind and fight for justice. I own an umbrella, but prefer walking in the rain. I keep bubble solution in my glove compartment so I have something fun to do while at stop lights. :) I break into song and dance whenever the mood strikes. I make snow angels. I once spent three hours talking to the ice cream man, who happened to have a fascinating life story. (Everyone has one!) I love, love, LOVE meeting all kinds of people! If we have a lot in common, cool. If not, awesome; share with me your culture, food, religion and music, and I'll share mine with you. Taste life! :)

Growing up in a family full of artists/ vagabond types, it's no surprise that I don't like to stay put. Travel fills me up and makes my heart dance! And whether I find myself in a high-energy major city, or in a chill little town in the woods, I'm sure to find fascination and happiness in the experience. :) I'm here to EXPERIENCE life, not just wade through it! Yes, yes! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was seven years old, at a bonfire in Wisconsin with my dad, we heard there was a cargo van for sale down the road. So everyone pitched in their money to buy it, drove it back to where the bonfire was, dragged a mattress out of the house, flopped it into the back of the van, and we all piled in and drove to Colorado! Along the way, we camped, met new people, and were even invited to spend a night or two at some of their homes. This is how it all began. My love for travel. Or, more precisely, my love for random, unplanned, see-what-adventure-comes-next travel! :)

I'm starting out with Couchsurfing as a guest, and I am SO looking forward to also being able to host surfers in the near future! I love this!

Teach, Learn, Share

See the "What I Can Share With Hosts" section. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you a silly song about cows that will make you laugh and amuse your friends. :)

I can show you how to quickly and easily cut up a watermelon into uniform pieces - chunks or slices, your pick. (Seriously, I'm a freak; I love cutting up watermelon!)

I can teach you about Nichiren Buddhism. (I've been an actively practicing Buddhist for ten years.)
