About Me

PS: Keep in mind Couchsurfing is not a hotel! The reason I do couchsurfing is to interact and learn new things, and hopefully bond with new people. I like to cook and I will treat you like family. I had a couple of guests that acted as if they were in a hotel, and didn't share ( I don't mean material things, but a poem, a recipe, a song, art, a back rub, a massage, a story, or an inspiring experience). If you are just looking for a place to sleep, I can help you find a local hostel, but if you stay with me, please be open and shareabout yourself :)

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy each moment, learn, develop myself and meet open-minded people with good heart. World peace begins with good interactions among people.

ABOUT ME

I'm a casual and easy going person who likes to try new things, meet new people, and experience the richness of life. My life is full of unexpected and magical episodes. I was born in Brazil, graduated in the US (undergrad and masters) and now I live/work in Japan. I love traveling and learning about other countries and cultures. I am currently enrolled in a PhD program at Jyväskylä, Finland (part time based) on intercultural communication. I love aromatherapy, holistic stuff, and massages, giving and receiving. If you are into alternative healing, I will love you right away😊 I am open-minded and will accept you for what you are (as long as you are not rude) without judgment. Cheers 🌈 😊 ✈️ 🫂

PHILOSOPHY

Here and now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people and often make new contacts whenever I go. When visitors come to my town, I make myself available to show them around and so far it has been a great experience all the people I've met. I appreciate learning about people and their lives, experiences. Let's network!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people and sometimes in my travels I make new contacts and go out for coffee/tea/chat. My experiences with couch surfing have been (most of the time) fun and inspiring.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a few books on coaching, health, spirituality, sexuality, and a few fictions as well. I also like Murakami, books on Buddhism, plays by Oscar Wilde, and continually studying Japanese. As for music, it depends on my mood, but I pretty much like everything, from Bjork to ethinic, pop, rock, jazz, blues, and R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Fuji (Japan)
Been in a movie (Japan)
Help a friend during the delivery of her baby (US)
Travel by boat in Indonesia.
Been to the great wall of China.
Hiked around the remaining of the Berlin wall.
Spent a week in an alternative community in the US.
Joined a traditional Japanese dance theater group (Noh Theater)
but in overall, I see everyday as an amazing experience.
