I'm Arun, medical student at Newcastle, UK. I am originally from Sri Lanka, grew up in Paris and moved to England for University! I am an open-minded person who loves to meet new people. I believe that I have something to learn from every single person I meet. I just love to explore and learn!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to CouchSurfing! Going on my medical elective in La Reunion this summer, I decided to join so that I can meet new people in Mauritius and La Reunion.

I love travelling! I don't necessarily go to the most touristic places when I travel, I love to go to unique places, taste some original food and meet locals who can give me a flavour of what their life is like. I think I will be able to truly explore the world by meeting and staying with locals from CouchSurf!

Interests

I love sports! In particular racket sports including tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis. I also love team sports such as football. I like hiking and breathing some fresh air in the mountains. I love walking in the countryside and exploring untouched bits of land.

Music, Movies, and Books

I use to listen to indian (tamil) music a lot when I was younger. As I grew up I started to listen to more Western music and like some slow rock and classical music.

I love watching movies that makes me think or that shows me a topic or point of view that I had not thought of before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer, I went on a roadtrip around Europe with my family. We spent 22 days triping around the Alps and along the Adriatic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My unique upbringing that allowed me to have a blend of different ways of thinking, behaving and living! I can also cook spicy indian food and tasty french cuisine!
