Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS
I was something of a nerd growing up. Naturally, I thought JRR Tolkien was a genius. Since then, I moved on to more recent authors; as of now, I am deeply into Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series and Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere novels. Besides fantasy, though, some of my favorite novels of all time include "All the Things We Cannot See" (Anthony Doerr), "The Catcher in the Rye" (JD Salinger), and "The Stranger" (Albert Camus).
MUSIC
My playlist is filled with all sorts of music, from West African guitar to chillstep, but I particularly enjoy listening to rock, power metal and jazz.
Some of my favorite artists: Pink Floyd, Jack Johnson, Poets of the Fall, Alif, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
MOVIES
Whiplash
The Dark Knight
Velaiyilla Pattadhari
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Dead Poets Society

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled alone through Karnataka on a completely unplanned ten day trip. The best part was being able to decide, on the spot, where to go and what to do. While it wasn't what I had come to expect after reading about other people's solo trips, it was an eye opening experience that reminded me of how large the world was.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn new languages, and to teach a bit of the languages I know.
And if you are into music or theatre, I would absolutely love to jam with you! (There's nothing as fun as an impromptu work of art, is there?)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation! I have a wide range of interests and would love to talk about anything that we have in common. I'm also open to exchanging stories and larger insights on life:)
