My name is Arūnas!
I'm 23 years old and was born and raised in The Netherlands.
I'm half Lithuanian (hence the Lithuanian name) but have unfortunately never learned any Lithuanian as a kid.

I studied Animation and Audiovisual Design a couple of years ago and then went on to specialise in sound.
I've studied Live Audio for a year and I'm currently studying for my bachelor Composition and Sound Design.
So to get music out of the way. I play guitar, basguitar, drums, sing and I'm trying to learn the piano. I've played in a band for a couple of years in which I wrote all of the music (no covers!)

I went traveling alone last year to experience what it's like to have no-one to talk to except the people around you. I'm not very good at starting conversation but once I get past introducing myself it just goes by itself. I enjoy good company and can always get along with everyone!

This year I'm traveling alone again. But I've gotten my motorcycle license a couple of months ago and am taking my bike on a roadtrip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a guy in a hostel in Lithuania and I was really intrigued by his story about hitchhiking and couchsurfing!
So I decided to have a look and see what kind of people I could meet when I'm traveling on my own!

I love almost all kinds of music!
I would listen to one specific genre more than the other but everyone has preferences. So punk-rock it is for me!
I don't really have a thing for electronic music (to an extent). I understand why it's popular in clubs and what not, but I highly prefer traditional bands and setups!
