About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet amazing people everywhere and nowhere!
ABOUT ME
I was born in the Philippines but spent most of my life in the Sacramento suburb bubble known as Citrus Heights. Didn't know how much was out in the world until my first trip back to the Philippines in high school. That trip showed me that there was so much more in life than the suburbs (who would have thought?). I basically want to experience everything I can while I can...this includes going places, meeting people, and learning.
Who I am: I'm super laid back. I get along with almost anybody. Ignorant people and people who say they can't do something without trying are the exception.
PHILOSOPHY
I got this from some bathroom graffiti (awkward)...but it works for me:
"Live like you're gonna die tomorrow, learn like you're gonna live forever."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't been able to participate too much yet. I try to give as much advice as I can on the forums. Once my living situation settles down a bit I will host as well as try to get some CS events together.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm using CS right now for the first time on a road trip through the US. It's great getting to meet locals...they always know where to get the best food and the best beer.
My favorite experience so far has been staying on a farm in Colville, Washington. Walking among goats, sheep, horses, hay, cows, emus, donkeys, is kinda surreal when your from the suburbs.
Interests
Rock Climbing, traveling (duh), meeting interesting people, snowboarding, hiking, learning anything, hats, microbreweries, nature (how is it so beautiful), naps, and the sun (didn't know how much I liked it until I missed it in Seattle and Laramie).
Oh...right now I'm really interested in finding out what drives everyone and what they think of life and what they want out of life...and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Not too big on hollywood blockbusters, they are too superficial for me. I know that there's been plenty of movies that I really enjoyed, but I can never think of them...It's like this for most people right?
Music: All kndis
Recently listening to: Mostly Podcasts
Books: Recently been reading literature: Kerouac, Orwell, Rand, Huxley; and books to inspire my road trip: Kerouac, Verne, Bill Bryson, Twain
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went backpacking around the world from August to December last year by myself. Along the way I met some people that invited me to their private island beach in the Philippines. It was a spiritual retreat for the inner dance movement isolated from the world without electricity or running water. Monkeys, 5ft long lizards, parrots, etc. running around wild. Fresh seafood...and a reef filled beach cove to snorkel in. Basically it was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all kinds of math, but from my teaching experience, not too many people are interested in that.
I've also done quite a bit of traveling and have tons of tips on how to save money and what to see.
