My name is Arvid Jesse Johannes Jansen from the Netherlands.
I would describe me as an artistic, optimistic and a young social innovator.
Last year I studied social entrepreneurship in Sweden where we can become truly ourselves and can find out how we want to participate in this world. A study where we learn how we can be an entrepreneur in a way that it is not only good for us, but also our surroundings.
Here I started my own interior design company where I want to bring back a fireplace were we can listen and share stories. A place where every single human being can speak the truth and can feel the magic of a roaring fire.
And now I'm organizing a conference, called Connect in Ghent, Belgium. A conference for school leavers to crest a conscious choice about what they would like to do in life. And not listen to the society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I think it is really nice to meet new people and to share our stories. And learning from each other is important to me because I think there is so much wisdom in every soul on this planet.
It is also important for me that when I go traveling that I meet the locals who can really tell me the story about the place.
