CURRENT MISSION

My year in Canada is ending soon and I decided to travel around and see some awesome places. Currently I teach people how to ski on a little ski hill and enjoy the awesome winter landscape.

ABOUT ME

Hi I´m Arvid from Germany, who finished his A-level exam at school. I decided to travel and work in Canada before I start studying back in Germany.

At home I was very busy, because I was interested trying different things and doing different hobbies.
Sport is necessary for our life to stay healthy. During my childhood I practiced athletics, fencing, climbing, tennis, swimming and now jogging, doing some workouts and still looking for new sport experience.
I used my bike every day to ride to school or to my activities.
When I start school I learned piano for 4 years. This was for me to boring and I changed to clarinet and saxophone and played both till leaving Canada. My family play instruments too. We practiced together and often performed songs at family celebrations or small concerts.
At school I was the school technician for the event equipment. My hobby is to control lights on concerts or theaters. During my school I was employed in two theaters in my city as an light and sound technician and responsible for the equipment, light and sound concept and the implementation of this concept.

I love to be in the nature. Going for a hike or swim in a lake. I am in for every outdoor activity. Hope you can show me around or give some great advise.

Canada is my favorite place, because here I find a unique beautiful nature and can meet the best people.

Interests

The most of my interests I wrote in the section "about myself".

In general I love doing outdoor activities. Canada offers a unique nature with untouched woods, lakes and especially hiking trails.
Furthermore I do some sports, like jogging, swimming, riding bike, ...

If I have the chance to go canoeing, kayaking or sailing, I would do this. So if you are looking for a outdoor activity buddy, I am the right person.

I love to hear music. All kinds of genre and musicians. I play clarinet and saxophone too.

In Germany I was an event technican for some theaters in my city. I created light shows or settings for some events.

As a kid I was very into magic. Ask me for a magic trick, when you host me. Don't worry: all the persons, who are disappeared, appeared after minutes again!

Otherwise I am open for eveything and hope you can show me something new too!

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES
I think a lot of people like movies, so do I. I have no favourite one, but I am interested in the most likely genre. I would like to join you watching movies.

MUSIC
I play clarinet and Saxophon. Therefore I am very interested in hearing and playing music. I am very interested visiting a concert!
There are lot of genre in the world and I am open to hear all of them.

Usually I hear classical, pop, house or instrumental music, but if you know or advise me a music band, I will join you to hear it with you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a ski instructor!
A Canadian mountain gave me the opportunity to become a Canadian ski instructor!

Teaching different people all kinds of ages and and levels is a great experience dealing with people. I like it very much and getting paid for skiing is the best!

I am an native German speaker, so if anybody is interested in learning German I can help you.

This year is to gain experience. Therefore I am open to almost all things.

If you have time, we can go hiking or doing other outdoor activities too. Exploring the nature is something what everybody connects together.

I like to talk to people to get know what they are doing and what kind of interests they have.

I am a clean, motivated, responsible, easy-going person. We will have a great time together!
