About Me

I am 68 year old person with multiple interests. I am much interested in meeting people and learn from them their experiences, skills, languages. I am also interested in teaching, learning and practicing yoga, acro yoga , Thai and Shiatsu. I also love photography and expect surfers to get themselves photographed willingly .
My house is located close to The Millennium School, Amritsar, which can be accessed on Google Map easily. It is about 12 km from The Golden Temple and about 10 km from Railway Station and Bus Station. Airport is about 16 km from my house. Arrival departure in my house should be planned between 7 am to 9 pm.
On your arrival in my house, you will be required to furnish details for filling Form C as per FRRO mandated by the Government of India ( Please refer http://indianfrro.gov.in ), in which your Passport details, Visa details, ID details, contact details in India and country residing permanently, passport photographs are some of the important inputs.

In your request, please tell me about you, your travels and what all activities, you intend doing here. Also, please send me your link to your social media handle.

Couchsurfing is about sharing cultures and experiences and and extending a helping hand in household chores like cooking, cleaning etc.

There are no house rules as such. Use common sense. Couchsurfers are expected to remain clean and to get up earliest possible but latest by 7 am. You should keep your space tidy and bathroom clean. You must wash dishes that you use. Also, please switch off fans, lights etc.

I am providing you public room in basement and separate washroom on the ground floor in front part of the house, though within the compound wall. Couchsurfers shouldn't expect host to provide meals. Welcome tea and may be one odd breakfast in emergency. But , let this be an exception rather than a rule. There are many options for eating out in nearby areas and online order options are also available. If you want to cook any dish, must purchase groceries before hand from suitable vendors.

I am a very simple and flexible person , living a retired life in a peaceful location . I can spend time with you to hear your stories and experiences. If you really want to know about culture, history, traditions and anything else about India, it shall be my pleasure to interact with you.

I am a host on Workaway also where workawayeres work in exchange of free food and accommodation.

I highly recommend you to read Francis Tapon .
