ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing and cheerful Sikh-Punjabi-Belgian girl now leaving in Brampton, Canada! Sooooo many labels some might say, but I need those to define myself :D

I was born in the state of Punjab - north of India - in a Sikh family and moved to Belgium in 1993! Belgium slowly began to become my home since it's there that I went to school and met my amazingly crazy and big-hearted friends!

The years passed by and in August 2012 I got married to my Sikh-Punjabi-Canadian sweetheart and had a wonderful wedding with my family and friends!

I am currently living in Brampton, trying to adjust to this new society and new world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at all, except for all the good things I have heard from my best friends! The words that picked my interest and quite moved me were those of one of my best friends who wrote a university article on Couchsurfing! She said that this experience help people restore faith in humanity since you meet people from all over the world and you can accommodate them based on their Couchsurfing profiles only! This is both crazy and cool!

I have read too many books to list them here, or just consider me too lazy right now to type them all here! HOWEVER, I can just name some of my favourite authors off the top of my head:

- Jane Austen, Margaret Atwood, Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes!

As far as movies are concerned, I love Disney movies, comedies and thrillers. I hate horror and psychological movies!

As I said somewhere above, I like to be a geek and watch tons of shows and serials! Be it Indian or Western! For the time being, I am into Glee, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries and Hana Yori Dango!

I wore a mask and a crown and accompanied by my friends, strolled the narrow streets of La Grand Place in Brussels.

Since I belong to a religion that is not very well known, I might bring some interesting knowledge to others by talking about my religious and cultural baggages.

I love knitting and I have seen many people interested in learning this activity!
