About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel as cheaply as possible these next few years while I work on my PhD. After that I want to take a long (2 year) trip either in South America or Africa.
ABOUT ME
I love the outdoors. Whether it be hiking, walking, biking, running, meditating, as long as it's in the outdoors I'm all for it!
The cold and I do not get along too well, but the heat and I are buddies.
I'm laid back and enjoy meeting new people on my travel adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
To reach the top...then coast on down.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Gotta meet more people and eat more foods from different locals!
Interests
Hiking is my favourite activity. I could hike alone or with a group of people. I believe hiking allows you to get to know a person on a deeper level rather than hanging out with them in the city.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tremors. Catcher in the Rye. Shawshank Redemption. The Outsiders
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The strongest instance of culture shock I've experienced was when I was in line for the bus with a few friends in Beijing. The locals disregarded our line and rushed the bus. We made it onto the bus, but learned that forming a line doesn't work so well in Beijing.
A few moments that have been engrained in my memory are the times I have attempted speaking French with the locals. I love the language and really do try, but I butcher it. The locals laugh a little but always work with me, and I appreciate their guidance.
Teach, Learn, Share
Insects are just people too man. They're so interesting, one could spend a lifetime learning about them.
