À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
music, community, adventure
ABOUT ME
I'm urban homesteader & audio engineer living in Atlanta, GA. I'm queer, vegetarian, nerdy, friendly, & I tend to apply cultural studies theory to situations whether they need it or not. I have deep & abiding interests in folk music, bicycling, co-ops, tea, politics, and good conversation.
I love having adventures, broadly defined, and good storytelling. I find couchsurfing to be an awesome path to both of these.
I graduated from college a few years ago with degrees in English and Cultural Studies, a lot of experience and enthusiasm for cooperative housing and cooking, and many many hours of conversation about politics, gender & sexuality, how to change the world, and tea under my belt.
PHILOSOPHY
collective change, community building, follow your bliss.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel a lot as a sound technician for a nationally (and sometimes internationally) touring folk band. Sometime this involve couchsurfing, but most often it's a great chance to meet people from all over the US & elsewhere. I also like spending my free time on travels of my own and hosting visitors when I'm home. I live in an off-the-grid cooperative house in Atlanta and love introducing folks to cooperative and environmentally-friendly living.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in the US, UK and Sweden, and hosted visitors from Germany, Sweden, and all over north america.
Centres d'intérêt
Community organizing, literature, lots of kind of music (especially different folk traditions), linguistics, cooperation, tasty things, printmaking, feminism, queer and gender liberation, anti-racism, bicycling, great books, great conversations.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
all sorts! I work in the world of folk music and love that but also indie rock, motown, singer-songwriter, and more.
A handful of my favorite books include The Passion by Jeanette Winterson, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon, Middlesex by Jefferey Eugenides, and everything Toni Morrison writes.
I like oddball movies - Harold and Maude and The Triplets of Belleville for a few.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
