About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are travelling around the world for 8 months and if you really want to experience a place properly then you have to get to know the people. I see couchsurfing as a way to do that and share our experience with others.
We also have a big house with a pool in Australia able to host others, it's set in bushland but only 20 min from the centre of Adelaide. Anyone wanting to get to know our part of Australia couldn't find better hosts than us.

Interests

I love to cook and am a massive food nerd, to be better at it I travel the globe and learn by seeing but primarily by eating. Also seen a few hundred bands in my time, love live music and most genres I can find something I like or have liked.
I share my travels, home and my life with my fiance Gemma who accompanies me on these travels. I accompany her on her quest to find the best hikes, nature, bars and drinking.
It's a good balance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yep, love all three.
Music - pretty much most genres I like, rock, dance, hip hop, funk, blues... but I do love to kick back on a Sunday with some house music.
Books - I'm a sci fi fantasy reader mainly, never grew out of it. Still annoyed that George RR Martin has had writers block for 4 years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to write one...
Possibly staring down into an active volcano while it was erupting on Tanna in Vanuatu.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach cooking, my best cuisines are French, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Spanish, English, German, Japanese and Indian.
Happy to share a meal if the situation is right, or a night out with us.
