I am currently finishing my studies but am looking forward to a trip to Indonesia in August!

ABOUT ME

I'm from Texas but claim New Mexico as my home. I traveled extensively a few years back while teaching baseball all over the world. Not making much of a living doing it (but having a ball) I went back to school and recently finished up. I'll start working in Albuquerque soon but am looking to test out my sea legs once more before I take the plunge into the working world.

For the past few years, I have been listening to a lot of African music: Oliver Mtukudzi, Kanda Bongo Man, Louis Mhlanga, Samite, Vieux Diop, Zivanai Masango, et al. I love Elvis, Bob Marley, tenor jazz, old school country music--really everything except hip hop and 80s rock. Except for Graceland, the 80s were awful...

I'm looking forward to reading for pleasure again. First on the list is 100 Years of Solitude.
