About Me
Hello friends from other parts of the world!
I am Asaf or Asado as the south american people like calling me ;)
I have lived my whole life in the beautiful and very special Israel.
All of my life is surrounded and dedicated to friends, travelling, music, dancing and sport activities. In the last 4 years i have been practicing the Capoeira which has also become an extremly important part of my life.
Before started travelling i have discovered how much I love working in agriculture, feeling the nature, the trees, the land. I have worked in fields of apples and cherries, maintaing the trees and also collecting the fruits. It was extremely powerful experience for me.
I am very curious and i have started my first trip here in South America at December 2015 and keeping it up until December 2016! Until now passed through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and now Brazil! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because the reason that i went out travelling is to experience other forms of living, to meet with other people, other cultures, to see what i can learn from them and to become inspired for my life.
In my travels the most important thing for me was to get in a place, hang around and connect to the people and always the most amazing things happened to me thanks to that. People have been so nice and curious about me as well! Taken me to their homes, offered me food, and showed me around.
I have always said that getting to a place, doing some tour to see some nature is nice and everything, but the most amazing experience for me was when i went out with the locals, when i got to do things that most of the tourists don´t get to experience. And all of that through the eyes of the locals.
My hunger to meet other people and the way that they live will never end and i would love to crash on your couches and to make unforgetable moments of sharing.
Interests
Basicly i´m up for everything that would get me to do something.
A bit more specific:
Have been learning how to play guitar, and my father is a musician too so music is all around my life. On the trip i have been carrying my ukulele with me (like the local Cavaquinho)
Have been training the Capoeira (Cordao de Ouro) in a group in Israel for 3 years and it made me fall in love with Brazil.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music is changing through my life. I have been through all of the classics of the american rock bands like: Beatles, Eagles, Queen which were my favorites. And ever since I am really into the Latin music - Capoeira music, Salsa and Bachata, Samba Pagode and lots more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been to a Indigenous community in Puerto Nariño...
When i went out on the first evening to do some exercise this beautiful girl approched and we started to do rope jumping together. We have connected very much that evening and even though she was 17 and i was 25 she was in a level of understanding and maturity that people might not reach in a whole lifetime period. From that moment on i got to do everything there through her own very eyes... She showed me around the place, introduced me to all of the local fruits and food (damn i ate some extremly delicious stuff there). I got to meet her family. Their accepted me as if I were their son and asked me lots of questions about me and the place that i come from.
We went out fishing, they took me as well to where they cultivate their fruits which was amazing for me because of my work in the apple and cherry fields.
I ended up staying there a whole week instead of 2 days as i first planed.
And if I would have stayed even one more day i could end up staying forever.. ;)
It was definetly the most powerful thing that I have ever experienced.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching, i have lots of patience and i also love learning.
I am quite of fan of languages and learned both spanish in this trip in a period of around 2-3 months and now making a big effort to learn portuguese..
I really like sharing, everything tastes better when it is shared, also the moments that you share with people are always more special.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whatever i can..
I don't need to put up a show really, everything comes natural.
I can share my emotions of happiness and freedom with them.
Cook some local plates from my country. Share great moments of laughter and hanging out together even meeting some more people.
Playing some music and singing, dancing together and to teach some guitar/ukulele lessons.
I could be a great exercise partner and to teach a little bit Capoeira.
Basicly this is the whole idea of me couchsurfing - sharing as much as possible.
