About Me

I just moved to a new place and the roommates aren't very familiar with couchsurfing. So, it's up to you to show them how awesome it can be!

CURRENT MISSION

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

ABOUT ME

I'm a people person. I like spending time with people, meeting new people, and getting to know people better. I want to share experiences with friends and get involved in their lives. I also look forward to meeting new people from different cultures! School and a job are important, but those alone are not what define me. I'm trying to enjoy life the best I can and have experiences that are worth telling people about. I love to figure out how things work and am always looking to try new things!

I moved to Savannah a couple years ago and have fallen in love with it. I love to show people the city and all of the reasons I have become so fond of it. I live downtown within walking distance of all the good stuff!

PHILOSOPHY

For me, life is all about relationships and being there for others. We're not meant to live life alone and I don't plan to do so. I give people the benefit of the doubt. Yeah, there are a lot of bad things going on in the world. But, if we assume that all people are that way, and hold them to that low standard, then we are only contributing to the problem.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world is full of people that have so many things to offer each other, but often times don't get the chance. Couchsurfing is a great way to lend a hand to a fellow traveler that you may have never gotten the chance to meet. So many of my trips have been defined by the people I've met and the hospitality shown to me. Now that I'm stationary for a bit, I want to pass that on to others.

Interests

I like DOING things rather than watching. Most weekend days are spent in the park or sailing up and down the river and you're more than welcome to join on either occasion.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently listening to a lot of indie folk and the likes of the The Avett Brothers, Gregory Alan Isakov, or the Lone Bellow. Give me guitar, a banjo, and some sweet vocal harmonies and I'm sold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have pictures of a house my grandfather stayed at in Germany while he fought in WWII. With the help of a couchsurfing host, I was able to find the house and take the exact same pictures my grandfather had taken 70 years before.

Teach, Learn, Share

Jack of all (some) trades, master of none. Fixing things, playing guitar, sailing, and traveling are some of the things I thoroughly enjoy. Tell me a good story and we'll be great friends.

I love being outside. I usually do this on a sailboat, kayak, or tandem bicycle, all of which I openly share with anybody that will enjoy them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Turkey, United States
