Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Personal fulfillment, but I'll settle for having potty trained children.
ABOUT ME
My wife and two daughters are a big part of what defines me. Most of my aspirations revolve around them. My views are fairly moderate. I consider myself a very up beat skeptic. I'm a bit of a jack of all trades master of none.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to follow a humanist approach defined as:
A non-theistic philosophy which affirms the inherent dignity and worth of every human being, encourages the use of science, reason and free inquiry, and promotes ethical principles and social compassion
to enhance the quality of life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to incorporate couch surfing into traveling in the future when circumstances allow. For now I try to be a good host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I backpacked through 14 countries in Europe. I never stayed in a hotel, hostel, or campsite. I just camped anywhere I could where no one would see me (forests, fields, school grounds, stairwells, under bridges, etc) I did meet a couple of people who let me stay the night at their place, but it was before I knew about "couchsurfing." Since then I have had a good number of couch surfers stay over and all have been positive experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I convinced a large audience that I was a black belt by breaking several bricks and blocks with my hands and head. I had previously made the bricks and weakened the blocks. I thought it would just be a funny joke, but everyone took it serious.
Teach, Learn, Share
I work as a PA at at lung clinic. I do have to stay within my scope of practice, but am glad to provide reasonable medical services/advise. I'm also glad to discuss the topics listed under my interests. Some of the things I would like to learn about include: gardening, homesteading, fishing/hunting, bushcraft, political, philosophical, and religious perspectives.
