I'm a former workaholic that has fallen in love with traveling and meeting people. I'm sick of fru-fru hotels. I'm up for just about anything and love adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's too short to be miserable. I live my life trying to be kind to others, avoiding negative people and trying to improve the world.

I'm in love with history, other cultures and seeing the world. I'm also a huge foodie and a runner. I just found out about geocaching. I'm addicted.

Música, películas y libros

I'm a huge reader. It's my dream to meet Pat Conroy. Beach Music is my favorite book of all time. Movies have to be really awful for me not to like, although I tend to like more art house films than regular releases. On music, I love folk (not Puff the Magic dragon type but more along the lines of Patty Griffin and Hem), alternative, and I have to confess, that really awful electronica in the right situations. I'm also into politics. I'm listening to Meet the Press right now.

Algo increíble que he hecho

There have been so many. One of the most amazing was covering Hurricane Katrina a year later. It was nothing like portrayed in the media. There was not one person who asked for anything. Every person -- and most had absolutely nothing except a tent and the clothes they were wearing -- told us they were fine and help someone else. It changed my life.

Trekking all over Southeast Asia with my brother, successfully crashing Bette Midler's birthday party, viewing the most beautiful sunset ever on the cliffs of Santa Barbara, snorkeling in Mexico, and eating the cod at Nobu in New York, the fried cheese at some Greek restaurant in Eugene, Oregon and risotto done correctly are about as good as it gets.

I enjoy opposing viewpoints, people from different cultures and techies. I am a writer, so I'm always open to learning from others. I'm also a longtime editor, so I can share my knowledge with other scribes who are looking to get published.
