About Me
CURRENT MISSION
pursuing life abundant
ABOUT ME
Currently a student in Beijing studying Chinese language. While in the States, I spent much of my time teaching, things like sewing, music, dance, public speaking, developing character, etc. Ran a small business for a while.
PHILOSOPHY
Less of me, more of Christ. John 10:10. Discovering that the rhinoceros exists and taking pleasure in the fact that he looks as if he didn't. Seeking elephantine adventures in pursuit of the obvious.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love stuff that digs into life in all its reality, as ugly or astounding or inspiring as it may be. Stuff like To End All Wars, Mr. Holland's Opus, Dark Knight, My Sister's Keeper.
Music: Indie, acoustically driven music is pretty great. Music artists are some of the most profound poets of our time. Whatever form this poetry takes, I like stuff that examines our thinking and leads us to see reality more clearly.
Books: Good stories, like some of the classics: Dickens, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Bronte. Good thinking, like philosophy/theology works: Bible, Augustine, Plato, Machiavelli, Lewis, Chesterton, Schaeffer. Good analysis, like current events and modern non-fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day, I woke up and my lungs expanded to take in oxygen.
