About Me

I love to travel and when doing so I like to get to know the people and learn more about the places I visit. I've been living in Kyrgyzstan with a host family for 2 years and I know how much more you learn and experience when you can live with locals. I'm new to couch surfing but hope to stay with many hosts on my trip back home to the USA.

I am very laid back and like to travel that way. I'm not into clubbing, but I do enjoy going out to a bar or cafe where you can talk with and meet people while having a good drink. I love learning about the history of any place I travel to and trying to understand a little bit about the politics and way of life in the country too.

Feel free to check out my blog about my time in Kyrgyzstan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel and be able to learn more about the place and locals than I would just staying at hotels. I think the people you meet are the best part about traveling and my fondest memories while traveling are the people I've met.

Interests

Hiking, backpacking, camping, sharing travel stories, photography, eating and cooking local cuisine, and about anything that is new or different. I also enjoy a good drink especially if it is something that is only available locally. For example Kumis in Kyrgyzstan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumis).
