About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my degree.... get to make some interesting music, and work with interesting fellow musicians

ABOUT ME

I am an aspiring musician, I do some vocals mainly, play some piano and at times some quitar. I try to compose my own stuff as well and I also try to work with live electronics (thats a fancy phrase for computers). Would love to find some other musicians to work with, but I can also be a loner, and that is also fine by me :)

I enjoy time by myself in nature a lot, and I enjoy time with others as well. I love chatting about everything.

I like clothes a lot, especially dramatical clothes. I like books as well, I find them to be a very erotic object.

I like nature, and enjoy long walks in nature, and in theory I would like to camp, although this is something I have not done for a prolonged period of time. So, sometimes theory is over-romanticised, and I do not know if this could actually work for me.

I like getting to know new people, new mentalities, new cultures, new everything, and I enjoy, tollerate and celebrate diversity, I hope other people can enjoy my diversity as well!

I sometimes feel that I am a bit weird, and sometimes I feel perfectly normal.

I do not know, I might be a bit bipolar....

I am very very sentimental, but no worries I am not going to be crying over your shoulder any time soon. I can be quite private about certain things, and at the same time very open about other stuff. I talk about my self and about my life fairly easily.

I like changes a lot. And I like often changes as well. I like to move around maybe way too much.

I think that at some point in my life I would like to settle down at some peculiar low-impact/self-sustained/permaculture farm or something, living a life close to nature with a trusting and loving partner... or no partner at all for that matter.

At the same time I am a big-city kid. I like traffic, I like movement, I like places that look alive and that are full of choices and possibilities.

I can feel quite allright both in an opera house and at a punk concert. I like very distant things, I like the oposites, and I like the challenge and the eclectisism of such a behaviour/preference. I also like seeing this great diversity in people's personalities as well.

I enjoy debating, I feel it makes my mind think fast, and I feel inteligent and alive. I talk quite fast (in my own language at least, which is Greek).

I also enjoy laid back moments, and even moments of silence, even when among others.

I feel people can connect within silence in a very unique and intimate way. (yup, you can call me weird I wont mind).

There is often a tendency to talk too much in western civilization, if we do not talk to each other we feel there is something wrong.

I would like to be able to enjoy silence without having to jump into negative conclusions or think of the worst right away...

Noises and bad music can annoy me very fast. Rude and disrespective people can also annoy me very fast.

Other than that, I am quite laid back, and I can handle more or less everything :)

I like the radical ideas of Leo Buscaglia in his bestseller book "Living, Loving, Learning" where he states that we should express our positive feelings to people, and we should ignore and overcome social restrictive norms which state otherwise. I feel that throwing a bit of love over other people, is always a pleasant and unique surprise.

I also feel that our society is generally focused on very toxic critisism about everything, which is making a lot of people feeling too little and inadequate.

I am all about possitive thinking and transforming the tiny little hurtful bits, years of being raised in this world have stuck in the back of our heads.

For the greatest challenge of them all, is to unlearn all the bitter things we were conditioned to believe, through what we ve learned to consider "proper education".

PHILOSOPHY

Imposible is nothing, would be a good enough phrase for me i would say....

Also I think if you dont go after your dreams, they will haunt you so this is what i am trying to do right now

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think that CS is a great idea for bringing people together, and giving the explorers a hands on experience on the culture of the country they are visiting.

I couch surfed during my trip over to the Netherlands in July 2010. I stayed in the country for about 3 weeks, while trying to audition for some of the conservatories (music schools) there. I was really impressed by and fascinated about this experience, and CS is one of the things that I have done that I am proud of.

Currently I am living 6 months in London, on campus, at the Uni halls, and 6 months in Athens, in my mother's house. None of the places is really suitable for having guests over from CS, and I am really looking forward for the day that I will be able to offer a couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Arnhem and Groninghen (both cities are in the Netherlands) and I was hosted by two wonderful families, I am so glad to have met them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films : I like "smart and funny" comedies, and the French people surely win this category big time [such as: overdramatized outrageous stuff with Louis de Funnes, "Le dinne du cons" (Dinner for fools), "Hors de prix" (Priceless), the analyse this series, wag the dog, full monty, south park.... etch

Romantic comedies: French Kiss, Green Card, bridget jones, notting hill .... you get the idea

Erotic / romance films : The blue lagoon sequence has scarred me for life... lol, une liaison pornographique, the secretary, the bridges of madison

Lame early 90s B-movies : "Dont tell mom the baby sitter is dead" and the like... If it has cocktales in a pineapple, big hair, and neon lights I am happy...stuff that wont get me thinking for an hour or so...

social-political : The experiment, land and freedom, no man's land, the hate, what to do in case of a fire, american history x, your days of plenty are numbered..... and the rest

adventures- the big chase-outlaw-people stealing things films : rush, the rock, white fang, ocean 11, easyrider, entrapment...etch

historical / period movies : mainly because I loooove BIG clothes!!!! Agora, Tristan and Isolde, King Arthur, Beowulf, The pillars of earth, Braveheart, the seventh seal, a knight's tale, Stage beauty, restoration, quills, the libertine, casanova, amadeus, les miserables, gone with the wing and so on

Oldies : Thomas Crown Affair (oh... that chess sequence), breakfast at Tiffany's (oh... that hat...), citizen Kane

Fantasy and occult: The neverending story (LLOOOOOVVVEEDDD the book as a kid), the fifth element, the mists of Avalon (for that Beltane sequence), Merlin, Excalibur, the witches of Eastwick, the craft, X-men.... etch

Cartoons: A bug's life,Antz, Ice age, Shreck, happy feet, lilo and stitch... and everything that is meant for the underaged people! Simply loving it, and even crying in the end at times.

Documentaries..... both political and nature! Earth,Home, Winged migration, Ulrike Marie Meinhof:letter to her daughter, fahrenheit 9/11, zeitgeist and so on....

Weird Euro stuff: The city of the lost kids, the girl with the dragon tatoo, Amelie, Micmacs- a tire larigot, tico moon, Mama Roma, Rocco and his brothers, Stanno tutti bene (everybody's fine), Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Jeux d'enfants (love me if you dare), Il postino, Lina Wertmuller's masterpiece travolti da un insolito destino nell' azzuro mare dell' agosto (swept away by an unusual destiny in the blue sea of August).

Music/art themed or related films : the piano, rockstar, save the last dance, coyote ugly, the piano teacher, the pianist, the leggend of 1900, sweet and lowdown, nine

Teenager films, such as 10 things I hate about you

Films about nature+people.... Fly away home, the girl and the fox, the girl from Paris

Music : I like most music, after all i am a musician so i have to have an oppinion. I can listen to rock, metal, punk, western symphonic music, vocal music, ethnic music, jazz, blues, experimental, opera and a lot more stuff that I havent yet discovered. I always have open ears for music, and it always fascinates me!

I do NOT enjoy horror, psychological, violence, war and splatter movies at all. It stresses me out, and then I cannot sleep.

Books?: I havent got much time for leasure reading lately..... What i ve read remains in my childhood, and my teenage years...

I have read a bit of political philosophy, more towards the hard core extraparlamentar far-left side of things, I have read a bit on gender issues, and feminism and I have read a bit on discrimination and social excusion...

Later on I read a bit on self awareness, psychology, new age and occult, as I grew more and more interested in paganism, earth based spirituality, and the feminine side of spirituality.

I now read mainly stuff about my degree, so lots of music related books, that are academic enough to be labeled interesting but boring.

I am hoping for the days i will be able -timewise- to read again... I would like to take on the classics, both from the ancient and medieval world, and theauthors of classic literature, both greek and international...

One of the things i simply LOOOOVE reading, are the comic books... I love Asterix (by Goscinny and Uderzo), all the works by Enki Bilal (comic books and movies), and I also enjoy the occasional Carl Barks Donald Duck story....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ahm.....amazing things? everything is amazing..... the sun rising and the sun setting, meeting new people and loving them instantly, resting in the middle of a park while the soft breeze carresses you.....Everything in life, under the proper perspective can be amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

T can teach a couple of things about music and about costume crafting i guess... Maybe even cooking something greek or something fusion/weird. I am currently eating everything, but I flirt with the idea of becoming a lacto-ov0-vegeterian, as I think eating meat is morally aufully wrong and also bad for health. I do not know if I would ever manage to stop eating things that walk-fly or swim, but there is some will to do so.

I would like to learn a lot about all ;) I am a curious and eager for knowledge person
