During the pandemic, I used mathematics to help a hospital manage its capacity and resources when everything felt uncertain. Working with real-time data, I built models to forecast patient admissions and guide decisions that directly impacted patient care. It was one of those moments where all the theory suddenly became real — where equations and data helped doctors, nurses, and patients in a very human way. Seeing that impact firsthand reminded me why I love what I do.
